Abstract: Winter School: Translational In Vivo Imaging
The Winter School on "Translational In Vivo Imaging" is scheduled to take place from February 17 to 19, 2025, at the Medical University of Vienna. This event, organized by Claudia Kuntner-Hannes, Ines Lopez Martinez, Thomas Wanek, and Thomas Helbich aims to provide participants with an in-depth understanding of various imaging techniques and therapeutic applications in a preclinical setting.
The first day will focus on animal models of osteosarcoma and the ethical considerations surrounding animal experiments, along with insights into fundamentals of imaging techniques, radiotracers, contrast agents, and artificial intelligence applications.
Day two continues with a comprehensive exploration of advanced imaging modalities, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET), and Computed Tomography (CT), along with discussions on translation errors and image analysis.
The final day includes sessions on optical imaging and ultrasound, followed by a focus on radiation therapy and microscopy techniques. The program culminates in a visit to the Preclinical Imaging laboratories, allowing participants to gain hands-on experience and insights into current research practices in the field.
This winter school presents a unique opportunity for professionals and students to enhance their knowledge and skills in preclinical imaging research.
