MIC Festival 2024 Hands-On Session 3

MRI contrast agents: development, hands-on administration, measurements protocols and quantification

Come and join the MRI contrast agents hands-on session at the 6th MIC festival 2024.

Program:

l. Presentation of contrast agents (CAs) administration tools for in vivo examinations:

a) Injection-Phantom;

b) Remote bolus injection: injection pump & injection line.

II.  Show-casing of contrast-enhanced MRI measurements:

a) DCE measurements &

b) T1-mapping;

c) Quantification of population-based AIF (arterial-input-function)

III. Quantification of DCE parameter-maps: ve - extravascular volume function, vp - plasma function, ktrans - transfer constant

IV. Introduction on first experimental 19F-MRI probes with ultra-high 19F content, high aqueous solubility, and tunable structure/property relationships. Fluorinated versions related to the ones used in our application have been FDA-approved as stent coatings and as microbeads for cancer therapy.

Multimodal imaging is a further possibility with our platform, where multiple imaging-motifs (19F and 31P) can be incorporated into a single formulation, offering comprehensive diagnostic insights.
